A Look Back Through Last Year: Brightening the Holidays for Tulsa's Youth

Santa's Workshop was a flurry of activity as our elves prepared hundreds of gifts for YST clients. Thanks to the support of our caring community, more than 350 teens and transition-age youth were "adopted" for the holidays.

Gifts of Hope adopters fulfilled the holiday wishes of youth by donating necessities like jeans and shoes, special fun gifts, and the youth's favorite snacks. By the way, if you've never heard of Takis, you might want to give them a try! Our elves report Takis and Flaming Hot Cheetos are the youth's most frequently requested treats.

A little holiday cheer works wonders for young people struggling with depression, anxiety, economic hardship, and far too often homelessness. We are grateful to be part of a caring community that generously supports our work with vulnerable youth.

Special thanks to our friends at QuikTrip. The employee-driven QT4Kids committee adopted an astounding 100 YST clients for Gifts of Hope!

Although the holiday season is officially over, you can help spread holiday cheer throughout the year by donating supplies for expressive arts therapy for youth coping with trauma. Please take a look at our spring wishlist on page 2 or online at www.yst.org/wishlist. Thank you for caring for our community's youth!
